Apres Ski or just Ski Training?
Happy half year Molly! So the 21st October saw our little eating, sleeping (and excreting!) bundle of joy, Molly Primrose Button turn 6 months old. So far, so good. She’s made lots of lovely friends and together they go swimming, to baby sensory, walks in the park and for some reason, soon enough, baby French lessons. Seriously, I’m a fan of all things brie and baguettes but 6 months seems young, especially when she can’t talk yet. However, I am reliably informed that a baby can learn up to 350 words before they say their first one so hopefully she will be better than I ever was! I did get an A at GCSE mind, but regrettably that seems like a distant memory now and like most others, I suspect, my French vocabulary has digressed into a bundle of food types and swear words!
I would like to go skiing this year as we couldn’t go last season because Jen couldn’t fit into her salopettes. It’s not looking promising though as I have been asked to go to the world hip-hop championships (to work…not to dance…obviously) in Florida in April which alas will take up too much of my time away from the chiropractic clinic. I do enjoy the pre ski season training nevertheless. I don’t know how it happened but whilst on holiday last month I managed to put on half a stone (Ice cream Tim? Yes please. Beer Tim? Yes please. Deep fried feta Tim? Ooooh, mmm. Yes please.). I am therefore dedicating the rest of October, November and maybe December to shifting it whilst getting fit for the ski trip that I’m probably not going on. TRX training combined with Spin is a perfect combination of aerobic training and muscle conditioning for skiing. It also helps me work towards those washboard abs that all good skiers should have. If you are going skiing this year then please feel free to mock me and join in.
